Nourushi Colony
In the season of fresh greenery, when the reed beds along Lake Biwa start to sprout new shoots, the yellow flowers of the "Nourushi" bloom. Stilt Festival
It is held at Sasaki Shrine in Imaichi on May 5rd, and at Wakamiya Hachiman Shrine in Tsujisawa on May 3th. Both are annual festivals in which boys up to the age of 5 take part and perform sacred rituals such as yabusame, making them a kind of children's version of the Nanakawa Festival.
