This is a long-established store that reproduces the Edo period manufacturing method based on old documents, and produces and sells natural vinegar brewed with sake by static fermentation. It is the only local vinegar brewery in Shiga Prefecture. We carefully select each ingredient, including "Oumi Mukashigenmai", an environmentally friendly rice sourced directly from local farmers, and make safe and secure vinegar without adding any flavorings, acidulants, colorings, or preservatives. In March 23, we opened a confectionery store "Oumido" next to our head office. The store is themed around the Taisho era romance and blends in with "Takashima Village", the old castle town of Omizo, and has become a new local attraction. There is a small eat-in space, so please stop by when you are walking around town. We sell confectionery and vinegar, which are perfect for souvenirs, as well as stained glass products.
