Located southeast of Makino Town, Kaizu Osaki's reefs are impressive for their masculine rock formations jutting out into the lake and the striking blue of the lake water. In 25, the area was designated Lake Biwa Quasi-National Park and selected as one of the Eight Views of Lake Biwa as the most scenic spot on the lake. You can also see the "fresh greenery and the sunken reflection of Chikubushima Island" from here. In spring, about 4 Somei-yoshino cherry trees, all over 80 years old, stretch for 800km, creating a beautiful flower tunnel, attracting many visitors every year. The area around Kaizu Osaki is a spot unique to Oku-Biwako, where you can enjoy the majestic nature of Lake Biwa all year round.
