Yatsubuchi Falls

Yatsubuchi Falls Yatsubuchi Falls Yatsubuchi Falls

Regarding use of photos

This famous waterfall is located at the source of the Kamo River, which originates northeast of Mt. Takenagatake, the highest peak in the Hira Mountains. As its name suggests, there are eight pools, each with a different look. In addition, trees such as mountain azaleas, rhododendrons, and rock jasmines grow thickly in the surrounding area. The trailhead to the waterfall is about 8m from Gulliver Village, and the hiking trail from here to Osuribachi is about 500km long, with a wide field where you can observe wild birds and plants.

*The courses towards Uodome-no-Fuchi (Uodome, Shoji, Karato) and the courses upstream from Osuribachi (Kozuri, Byobu, Kibune, Shichibengaeshi) are very dangerous due to rock collapses. There have been many fatal falls. Beginner hikers are advised to avoid courses other than Osuribachi.

*Those planning to climb Mt. Takenagatake should cross the river at Osuribachi and follow the signs towards Hiroya. Please do not take the route via Kibunegafuchi and Shichibengaserifuchi as it is very dangerous due to rockfalls. (Quoted from the Takashima City website above)

*Please be careful on the hiking trail between Gulliver Village and Osuribachi!
July 30, Gulliver Village and O-SuribachiRecovery work has been carried out following the landslide that occurred at the midpoint of the trail and the trail has been restored, but there are still some areas that may cause obstacles to passage, so please take caution if you are considering hiking along this route.
