To ensure safe and smooth road traffic, traffic restrictions are implemented over two days, Saturday and Sunday, during the peak cherry blossom viewing season each year.
Thank you for your cooperation.
[Regulation date]
Saturday, April 4th and Sunday, April 5th, 2026 (planned)
Both days 9:30-17:00 ((Entry from Nihonmatsu will be prohibited from 9:00.)
*May change depending on flowering conditions, etc.
[Content of restrictions]
■ Prefectural Route Nishiasai Makino Line
One-way traffic from Kaizu East Exit to Nishiasai Nihonmatsu in Nagahama City, heading east (Kaizu → Nishiasai)
*However, bicycles are not subject to the one-way traffic regulations, so it is possible to travel from the Nishi-Asai direction, but please be careful when passing through as the road is narrow.
In addition, roads within the Kaizu settlement are congested with pedestrians and vehicles, and there is a risk of collisions, so we ask that you dismount your bicycle and walk.
■National Route 161
No entry from Kaizu intersection towards Nishiasai
Only buses and taxis may enter (regular vehicles may only enter from the Makinohama Line)
