Roadside Station Kutsuki Shinhonjin

Koshoji Temple

In 1528, Shogun Ashikaga Yoshiharu fled the civil unrest in Kyoto and stayed here, relying on Kutsuki Tanetsuna. At this time, Iwagami-kan was built, and the garden that remains today (the Former Shurinji Garden) was constructed within that building.
