Use of Biwako Takashima Rental Cycle Service

There are two types of Biwako Takashima Rental Cycle Service.

  • In-Town Rental Service

    You are expected to return your bicycle to the center where you rent it out.

  • One-Way Rental Service

    You can drop off your bicycle at any center, making this service very convenient for you.

Important Notice

Please pay attention to the followings in this special season.
【Late March to early April】
・During this season, you are not allowed to make any reservation for a rental bicycle.
・During this season, you are not allowed to drop off your bicycle at a different center if you rent it out at Makino Station.
・During this season, the number of bicycles prepared at any center other than Makino Station will decrease as they employ the special rental bicycle system for the cherry-blossom viewing season.

During this season, please understand in advance that you may suffer inconveniences.

  • Imazu Tourist Information Center inside JR Ohmi-Imazu Sta. 9:00～13:00 None (Suspension of Service Operation from 12/29～1/3)
  • Adogawa Tourist Information Center inside JR Adogawa Sta. 9:00～13:00 None (Suspension of Service Operation from 12/29～1/3)
  • Takashima Tourist Information Center inside JR Ohmi-Takashima Sta. 9:00～14:00 None (Suspension of Service Operation from 12/29～1/3)
  • Shinasahi Biwako Takashima Tourist Association in front of JR Shinasahi Station (Inside Takashima City Sightseeing Product Plaza) 9:00～17:00 None (Suspension of Service Operation from 12/29～1/3)
  • *Please present your ID (passport or equivalents) when renting out a bicycle.
  • *Please return your bicycle during the hours from 9:00AM to 5:00PM.
  • *Please understand in advance that about 10 bicycles placed at respective centers are rent out on a first-come-first-served basis.
  • *You might not rent out a bicycle depending on the weather.
Price

・bicycle：500yen
（cross bike＜sports-type bicycle＞：1,000yen）
（electric bike：2,000yen）

*One-way rental ：500yen

Attention
  • We will not assume any responsibility for any accident regarding your using a rental bicycle, and you should obey traffic rules and ride it safely.
  • Never ride a rental bicycle together with another person or with opening an umbrella.
  • Make sure to lock your rental bicycle when leaving it.
  • You are not allowed to use a rental bicycle outside the city. We will not assume any responsibility regarding repairs, accidents, etc. caused by your use of a rental bicycle outside the city.
  • Although not preparing bicycles specially for children, we will rent one out to a child if we judge that he/she is safe with riding it and his/her both feet can touch the ground.
  • Please make an inquiry beforehand if you want to use this service in a group.
  • In case of any damage on your rental bicycle, you may be charged for its repair.
  • Please contact Biwako Takashima Tourist Association if you have any inquiry about a flat tire.
  • If you want to make a reservation, please do so by email not later than 1weeks before the day on which you are going to use a rental bicycle.
